just a real quickie in between studying and reading.

I'm really into history and often love reading textbooks, as odd as that may sound, and my Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Art class has captured my fascination with only the first class. It's amazing how much there is to learn, and people's perception of what is Asian art is...really almost misguided. It's quite thrilling too, because discoveries are being made all the time, like the figures discovered in Sanxingdui for example.

um anyway, I've fallen in love with the Taotieh design which is centered in many ancient chinese artifacts. (however this is a pathetically lazy attempt at it 'cause I should really get back to reading...actually, this really isn't anything like it...ugh I fail, you can totally tell I didn't try...oh well, next time'll be better...probably.) I hope to incorporate much of what I am learning into my future works. :D

UGH I just wish I was better at remembering dates...numbers have never been my friend. :(

HEY I finished reading the Bacchae AND over half of my textbook reading, and I plan on finishing, or nearly finishing it tomorrow before class. :p

...so...yeah, I think I can afford an hour break to do this. lol :D :heart:

Woah, loving the hot orange thing going on with the lime green. Looks really lovely!

And yeah, I'm crazy about mythology as well, though I don't know much about Asian mythology. I wish I knew more about Korean mythology. :(
